New Dutch Pension Act: adjust the pension scheme of your employees

Providing a pension scheme typically is an important part of the employee benefits package. Previously the Dutch pension system showed some vulnerabilities which needed attention. To solve these issues, the Wet toekomst pensioenen (or Future Pensions Act) entered into force on 1 July 2023. This means that you as an employer have to adjust the pension scheme for your employees.

This page will tell you what this means for you and your employees. The content below is solely meant for employers paying into a pension scheme which is operated by an insurer or pension premium institution (PPI). It provides information on when to adjust your pension scheme, what exactly you need to adjust and who can help you with this. In order to be ready on time, it is important for you to start quickly.
